I am the eagle, I live in high country
In rocky cathedrals that reach to the sky
I am the hawk and there's blood on my feathers
But time is still turning they soon will be dry
And all of those who see me, all who believe in me
Share in the freedom I feel when I fly

Come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops
Sail o'er the canyons and up to the stars
And reach for the heavens and hope for the future
And all that we can be and not what we are

Words and music by John Denver and Mike Taylor

This was always one of my favs. I love how they come out of the break and punch into that middle eight with Pete's driving bass line, then back to the "what I say" groove. Too cool!

Is this fully live? Only coz it sounds different to the record and Ray hits the wrong note on the harmonica.

what they used to do during these kind of tv-show recordings, is play the backingtrack on tape and let the leadsinger sing live. Check out The Who's "My Generation" on the Smother Brothers Show for a good example.
